The pencils are exactly the same - the rigid tin is perfect for home studio use whereas the travel zipper gives you more options and portability. How good are these when drawing on black cartridge paper and will they work on wood if it is then sealed with varnish?
They work very well on dark papers and yes, they work well on wood and can be sealed with varnish afterwards. How many skin tone colors are in these sets and how many shades of white and gray are there in the set?
It depends on the skin tone you are after, but there is a wide selection in both 72 and 120 sets. In the 72 set, there are three grays, one white and a black. In the 120 set, there are six grays, one white and a black. Do the colors blend and layer easily?
