Aceo, "myra" Portrait - Ink & Colored Pencil

This is an original painting in ACEO (Art Cards Editions & Originals)/ATC size (2.5 x 3.5") -- a unique whimsical mini masterpiece of an elegant black woman in a turban. I've used colored pencils and ink on acid free watercolor paper. This tiny painting comes un-matted/unframed, carefully protected in a plastic sleeve. My full signature is on the back. Thank You! Born in Jamaica, in 1953, Stacey Torres is a contemporary folk artist living in the Midwest. Known for her paintings of unique garden settings and women, she creates with an abundance of color and media inspired by her Caribbean heritage. Stacey Torres is self taught, and exhibits her work in galleries and museums, i.e., the Janice Mason Art Museum in Cadiz, Kentucky. A 2016 recipient of Indiana Lt. Governor's Hoosier Women Artists Competition, Ms.Torres' love of painting began at a very early age. After a 45 year hiatus, while spending time with her mother who was in her final stages of Alzheimer's, she began to paint again for emotional therapy and support. This practice continues today.
