Up for sale is a wonderful antique 19th century pencil drawing depicting two dogs in a field with a bird in their mouths. This unsigned pencil drawing measures approximately 12 x 16 inches and is backed with wood slats while the original period wood frame measures 15 1/2 x 19 1/2 inches. While the drawing is executed in an almost naive manner, it is a rather nice work and of appealing subject matter. The condition shows an even toning, some surface loss mostly present top left and a vertical brown line from old wood slat backing. The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this rare little 19th century drawing but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
