Succulents are considered one of the most hardy plants in gardening. They are drought-tolerant and have numerous ways of reproducing! Succulents naturally grow in sunny areas, so make sure to provide ample light for them to thrive; a south facing location is recommended. To ensure the health of succulents, it is important to plant them in porous, well-draining soil. Succulents require little watering, but don't like to sit in wet soil. To create an adequate cactus mix, simply add pumice, perlite, or grit to cactus soil to provide the proper drainage. Make sure to leave drought periods between waterings to prevent the plant from water-logging. 1.
You will receive a cutting of the exact the same plant as the one shown in photo; shape and color may vary. The plant you receive may not be the exact color as the picture. The color of succulents vary based on its growing condition and these in particular range from greens, reds, oranges, and yellows. With proper care and abundant sunlight the color will reappear. Our beautiful succulents have been picked and pre-calloused so they are ready to plant when they arrive. Some may have roots and are ready to plant. Others will be callused when you receive them and will also be ready to plant (however, because these are fresh cut before shipped, if the cut stem isn't callused yet, wait to plant until completely dried over). 2.
The plant cutting on offer will be shipped bare root without pot. 3.
Succulents are easy to care for - very light water. They will do great in temperatures from 40 degrees to 100 degrees. (with some shade in the hottest weather). They grow quickly in the ground (a little slower in pots). Many of them bloom in the summer months. The plant may appear dry or stressed when you receive it. Simply plan them in a pot and leave at bright location without direct sunlight for couple days. Then you can begin watering them.
