The rough pen blanks are first turned on a lathe to get them to the desired shape and dimensions, then sanded to 12,000 grit and finished with care to ensure a glass-like high-gloss surface is achieved. The hardware is carefully hand assembled with the finished blank bodies to achieve the beauty and precision you would expect from a high quality pen/pencil set.
