Click images to enlarge Description The Hunchback of Notre Dame, original pencil layout drawing of the architecture of the side of Notre Dame Cathedral and the facing buildings surrounding the street that Quasi and Phoebus took to reach the gypsy's secret underground Court of Miracles used in the production of the 1996 Walt Disney animated feature film The Hunchback of Notre Dame , drawn on a 13 by 10 1/2 inch sheet of animation paper, in very good condition. The sheet is unsigned but is the work of Tom Shannon who worked directly for the Art Director as a key layout/workbook artist who was one of the key designers of the Paris architecture in and around the Notre Dame cathedral. As a layout artist, Shannon was responsible for creating a visual script from the written script before animation began. Tom Shannon worked at Disney for over 20 years as a layout artist. He worked on many Disney films including Aladdin, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Lion King , and Mulan . This drawing comes from a recent estate sale of Tom Shannon. Tom Shannon was one of the major artists working on The Hunchback of Notre Dame . There are 13 of his drawings reproduced in the book The Art of The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Stephen Rebello.
