Even More Elegant Than The Original December 9, 2021 I'm only 5'2", but I always bought the original No.2 Pencil Skirt in Tall because the extra length made it more elegant to me. It fell just below my knee. This one is just slightly longer and gives THEE perfect effect with knee-high boots. The quality is identical to the original version, I have it in two colors already, and I'm really hoping J.Crew releases more. These are uncommonly well-made skirts. If you like the No.2 Pencil in Double-Serge Wool, I absolutely recommend trying this one with heels. Flattering and Well Constructed February 4, 2022 I purchased this skirt in the “beachside blue” color way. It’s a beautiful shade of blue with soft lavender undertones. I ordered it in my usual size 2, and I find it to be true to size. As the description notes, it is designed to fit at your natural waist, whereas previous versions of this skirt that I own sit just below the waist. It is therefore cut smaller around the waistband than previous versions, but because it sits higher it nips in at a flattering spot and makes my waist look tiny and gives me an hourglass shape. I love the longer length. It creates a longer line and makes me appear taller than my actual 5’2”. Of particular note is how well made this skirt is. I own previous versions of this wool skirt and have had them for many years. With regular use but proper care and dry cleaning, they still look new. I expect this skirt will have the same longevity. The wool has a substantial weight, it’s fully lined, and the seams and stitching are solid. Gorgeous and classy October 7, 2022 This skirt is gorgeous. I bought the English saddle color and the color is so rich. The length is so classy. I’m a 28” waist and usually a 4 in J. Crew, and the 4 fits perfectly - fitted without being bodycon. I’m 5’7” and the length is just below my knee, giving me major Audrey Hepburn vibes. I’m going to buy the black color, I love it so much.
