Japanese Kokeshi Doll Pencil

This is a adorable and very rare vintage Japanese Kokeshi Doll Pencil.  The HB pencil is wood and painted blue with impressed Japanese characters on two of the six sides.  Only the HB is not in Japanese. There is no "Made in Japan" or "Japan" anywhere, which indicates to me that it was made for the Japanese market. My parents were stationed in Japan during the reconstruction period after World War II and this was either purchased or gifted to them during that time.  It has been in the pencil holder on my parents' desk ever since. The pencil (including topper) is approximately 7 inches long.. If you are a Japanese pencil collector or collect Kokeshi dolls, this piece would be a marvelous piece to add. The piece is in beautiful Pre Owned vintage condition. Exceptional Detail. No chips, cracks, or flaws in the pencil.  It has been sharpened and there are a few small places where paint is chipped near the point.  Kokeshi Doll topper paint is nearly perfect.  It seems to be in excellent vintage condition for something that has survived nearly 70 years of family service with two kids.
