I regret my poor photographic skills hinder seeing the true color, scale, and intricate detail of this lovely print. Entitled "Kaerntnerstrasse, Vienna", this 1928 color etching and aquatint view looking down the famous central city shopping street towards St.Stephens Cathedral is by the celebrated Austro-Hungarian/American printmaker Luigi Kasimir (1881-1962), famous for his innovative color printing technique .Measuring 18 3/4" x 15 5/8" image, 25" x 32" framed, it is pencil signed by the artist lower center . Unexamined out of frame, it appears to be in excellent condition with no holes, tears, stains, foxing or toning and matted in clean archival framing. Similar works by this artist can be found in the collections of many museums including the British Museum, London; The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, D.C. etc. as well as the Kasimir Museum in Marietta,Georgia devoted to his work. I will gladly remove from frame for shipping if desired.
