Rare Set Of 12 Kirin Assorted Color Coloured Pencil

Offered is a pre-owned unused "new in box" set of 12 Kirin assorted color "coloured" pencils, in a metal box, made in Japan. Glossy printing on lid of metal box shows what appears to be a late 1970s, early 1980s English street scene with double-decker busses. Even the paint and embossing on these pencils is fine and beautiful (see photos), and the pencil colors are those identified inside the box and on the individual pencils (see photos.) Please note that the red color pencil in the middle of the box may have been sampled just enough to slightly blunt the point (see photos, using zoom as necessary.) Pencil casings and metal case carry the squiggle-in-circle Japanese Industry Standard mark, indicating that they were made between 1946 and 2008.  Beyond this, as best the seller can determine, the small Tokyo-based Kirin Pencil Company Ltd. enjoyed a good reputation for producing various kinds of pencils before going out of business.
