Sheaffer Balance 500 Pencil

Offered for your consideration is a vintage SHEAFFER’S Balance 500 pencil cap , USA-manufactured c.1940.  Only the cap came into my possession; I do not have the rest of this pencil.  Buyer is responsible for ascertaining that this cap is correct for their intended SHEAFFER’S pencil. So, please have a look at my large photos, the measurements , and read the remaining description to decide if this SHEAFFER’S Balance 500 pencil cap should be yours. This SHEAFFER’S Balance 500 pencil cap is in clean, fair to good condition.  It measures 2 5/16” long by ⅜” in outer diameter at the open end .  The black plastic has no cracks or chips, but there are tiny nicks and scratches throughout .  However, the gold-plated metal clip and trim ring have no plating loss or tarnish and the clip rests tight upon the cap without lift.  Plus, the SHEAFFER’S imprint above the trim band is strong, as seen below.  Though far from perfect, it’s preferable to a broken cap, missing clip, etc., and will have your Balance 500 pencil ready for action once again! So, as pictured and described, this SHEAFFER’S Balance 500 pencil cap is offered at a reasonable price.
