Vintage 1940's Scripto Crayon Marker W610 black waxy writing utensil

Vintage Scripto W610 Thick Lead Pencil
Twist the knob to advance the lead; wind it backwards to retract the lead. Lead is not graphite, more of a waxy crayon like material.
Vintage from my great-grandfather's candy store in Chicago in the 1940s-1950s.
There is at least some of the lead still usable but I'm not sure how much of it has or has not been used.
Pen is approx. 4.75" long.
