Vintage Mcm Ceramic Kitty Cat Pen Pencil

For your consideration is a rare kitschy kitty cat MCM vintage ceramic pen or pencil holder. It appears to have been made in Japan and is hand painted. This particular example is the only one I have seen that still has its original eyeglasses that fit into place under the cat's ears. Condition is excellent for its age. There are a few tiny flea bites (chips), but they are very hard to see. There is a small gold colored pencil and some sort of narrow silver colored tool stuck inside the pencil holder. One can hear it rattling around inside. They are probably stuck inside there for good, as there is no logical way to get them out. This probably occurred a while ago.
