Housed in a correctional facility at Houtzdale, Pa.,B.K.Hill has been called 'a god w/ a pencil', not by his own words but from the people he's done countless art pieces for over the two decades of his incarceration. Taking a few lessons from an old cellmate, then building upon those valuable lessons, n a splash of O.C.D., his attention to detail gives each piece of art a soul of its own; guided by his wonderful wife, daughter, father, n son, he continues to perfect his art, knowing, humbly so, that there's much more to learn. Art, being only one of his talents, he continues to further his knowledge in other fields of study to one day w/a college degree n some luck, give back to a society that he once had stolen from.
B.K.H.’s powerful work has captured the imagination of people across the country. His work, including many commissioned pieces, has been purchased by people throughout the US.
Much of Benji’s work features self portraits. He has made use of what limited media is available: mostly pencil and paper. The image above illustrates his skill and attention to detail.
